Connect

  Connect /  [kuh-nekt] means to join, link or fasten together; unite or bind; to establish communication between; to have as an accompanying feature: to cause to be associated; to associate mentally or emotionally. 

One of my favorie lame games is Connect Four where the goal is connect four chips first before your opponent out smarts you.  Just like Connect Four, we as young christians need to connect with one another in order to win, stay strong and not to be out smarted by the enemy.  We want to offer you a place where you can join, link, fasten and associate with other people who are like minded and needing connection.  Below are a couple of ways to connect in Y180.

rootedColossians 2:6-7 says "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, ROOTED and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." 

Have you ever considered the importance of roots on a plant or a tree?  We usually don't think about roots because we can't see them, yet we enjoy their benefits by the fruit, flowers, leaves, shade and oxygen they produce.  Roots are an essential part of any plant because they provided stability, gather nutirents & water and fight off infections and disease.  In the same way, we as Christians need to be ROOTED in Christ in order to produce Godly fruit, wisdom, discernment, a love for others and faith.  We can only become ROOTED in Christ as we walk with Him, built up in Him, established in Him, taught in Him, and abounding in Him. 

The purpose of ROOTED is a discipleship group for high school girls seeking to walk deeper in Christ.  Sometimes we don't know how to grow in our walk with God and we need help.  ROOTED is designed as a small group expository bible study to grow deeper with Christ thru His Word and friendships.

ROOTED meets every Sunday morning at 10am in the ROOTED room at the hallway entering The Living Room.  Mrs. Jenn & Ms. Taylor lead ROOTED and are committed to your growth in Christ.  We encourage you to come and meet with other girls who are experiencing life as you may be.

Guys DIscipleship

battle    BATTLE is a dicipleship group for High School guys designed to encourage those who are wanting to walk with the Lord yet compressed by the world.  Every young man needs a place to come together with other like minded and struggling youth to sharpen each other, listen to issues impacting your life, praying for one another and grow in God's Word.

 "Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for BATTLE." Pslam 144:1 

   BATTLE is lead by John Wade who has a heart for youth discipleship, challenging you in your walk with God thru resources, accountability and friendships.

   BATTLE meets every Sunday at 10am in the BATTLE room which is located next to the stage in The Living Room.  You are welcome to bring a friend or come by yourself.  We hope to see you at BATTLE!
